A new way to engage with the British Film Commission (BFC) is now available via twitter: @FilminUK_BFC.

The BFC is the national body responsible for maximizing and supporting the production of international feature films and high-end television in the UK and is a division of Film London. With offices in the UK and the US, the BFC provides free professional advice to help make productions in the UK a reality.

Topics the BFC will cover in its tweets include news about inward investment features and high-end television shot in the UK, as well as the agency’s events and initiatives.

Through Twitter, the BFC shares information about projects the agency has assisted, including award-winning television fantasy drama Game of Thrones, which returned to Belfast to shoot its third series, and premiers on Sky Atlantic on 1 April.

Another BFC assisted project out this month is Warner Bros’ Jack the Giant Slayer, a fantasy extravaganza based on the Cornish fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk. The film was shot almost exclusively in the UK at Longcross and Elstree Studios, as well as locations including Hampton Court Palace and the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire.
