The BFC is at the event, alongside Film London, Creative England, Creative Scotland, Northern Ireland Screen and Wales Screen Commission, to promote the UK’s world-class production facilities, locations and crew to international film and television producers.

Virgin is the BFC’s official airline partner and is working with the agency throughout the year with top industry execs travelling between North America and the UK via the airline. In April 2013, Virgin Atlantic supported the BFC’s UK Familiarisation Tour, flying eight US television studio executives to the UK where they toured locations, studios, facilities and met the industry.

“We are delighted with our hugely important and effective partnership with Virgin Atlantic,” says Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of the BFC. “As a fellow British company and a leader in their field, we are thrilled to be working together to showcase the best of what the UK has to offer. I am also pleased the UK is represented again at the Locations Show in LA with a strong unified UK presence.”

“We’re excited to partner with the British Film Commission to help promote Great Britain to be a world-class filming destination for film and television production,” says Chris Rossi, Senior Vice President North America, Virgin Atlantic.

AFCI takes place at the LA Convention Centre. The agencies are promoting the very best of the UK industry, including its superb locations, state-of-the facilities, the highly skilled workforce and outstanding talent.

The BFC is hosting a panel outlining the benefits of shooting in the UK followed by a short reception and a networking reception for the film industry based in LA to meet the UK Screen Agencies.
